A friend is looking at a C&H single trigger gun, the ones with the blade on the back side of the trigger. He asked what I knew about the design, reliability, etc. and the short answer is Nothing, I know nothing about them.

Does anyone have any experience with these triggers? If you’ve owned one would you own another?

Thanks, bryndon

With the shortage of skilled gunsmiths today, I would avoid all single trigger guns.

I certainly agree with that. I told him the part that concerns me the most is you just don’t see many guns with that particular trigger. Does that mean they had their fair share of problems?

He’s seen a lot of guns, as have I, and I just haven’t been around any C&H single triggers.

A friend had a 1x trigger C&H and it worked well. There were a few skeptics when he got it but the gun proved them wrong.
I had two Westley Richards 1x triggers and they worked flawlessly.
I have a Harrod's 1x trigger gun for over 10 years and there has never been a miss-fire. And, the trigger is selectable---push it forward and it fires the left barrel first---really neat.
