Have probably seen too many 'Long Cracked Smiths', and may only be the wood grain, but worth removing the lockplate and checking ![[Linked Image from photos.smugmug.com]](https://photos.smugmug.com/Wood/i-hWPcFMk/0/Kbz4mcqQJtXsWP8FnXmD3p6RwgJbXLwjwq3Gbpg4W/S/IMG-4642-S.jpg) Thanks - I did look there - it's OK. I really appreciate your heads up though.

The Brits consider sidelocks without ejectors to be decidedly odd. You can make some good buys on them.

William Baker patent 2,899 for 1902. Thanks Doug. Do you know where I might find a copy of the patent?

If an abridgment will suffice see George Hoyem's reprint of Patent's for Invention, Class 19 (small arms) , 1855 - 1930 Armory Publications 1993. For complete specifications the British Patent Office.
