Karl:
Thankyou, that's very gracious of you. I can only hope that the Almighty is taking notes here.
Back in the big city today (had a dental appointment I couldn't easily postpone). This world is now defined by traffic (lots of it) and very few (if any) undeveloped areas or natural surroundings. When I first got here 40-some years ago, Denver wasn't such a megalopolis. There were more open spaces, less (& different) people and a vary different pace, Part of that may be me aging out a bit, I'll admit, but things simply aren't very inviting here for me anymore. My wife and I joke about staying within our "bubble of comfort" to avoid all of the unpleasant developments here (at least for us) and that helps, but...wow.
Coming home from the north country has always been a downer for me I suppose. It represents "picking up the harness", "shouldering the load", and getting back to "reality". That meant very different things even a few short years ago but...it still fully applies here. Some things never change, eh?
It'll take me a few days to adapt and then....off again I fear, with a rifle on this next trip. I'll try to take a few pix of the more-interesting stuff but... we'll see (this is a shotgun site after all).
