I have a drilling that includes scope rings, but I need a scope for it. The rear ring is 1” (0.984) or 25mm and the front is 1.85” or 47mm.

I want a 2X or 4X scope, preferably of quality, modern manufacture. I’ll probably reach out to Leupold but I ask you for advice - do you have recommendations for a particular model that would apply? Or do you have one for sale that would work?

Crockett,
You can also take a dial digital caliber to the store and measure the scopes (a dial or vernier caliber will also work). Keep in mind that rotating the scope to install or remove it means it must be high enough or far enough back in the rings to clear the barrels. Also check eye relief.

Crockett, looks to me like the front scope ring was made for the objective bell of a particular scope. Total guess, but likely a 44mm objective glass that might go up to 47mm with the bell. Per Der Ami, I'd bring some calipers to a store and see how close 1" tube-scopes with 44mm objective glass are to the 47mm, and there isn't much room for error. If they're larger, a machinist might be able to skim off some of the metal within the rings. Worth a shot!

I had to have rings made years ago and they weren't cheap, but worth it IMHO.

Your actually in pretty good shape if you need to have a ring made. You have one correct ring already so just one needs to be made and you have a pattern for the feet of the one you need made. You could also have a sleeve made for a slightly smaller objective housing.

Weaver Grand slam rings are steel and the tall/ X-tall have a good chunk of steel under the ring to carve feet for a claw mount ring.

After the first shot the rest are just noise.
