in early August I bought a gun from Holt's and opted to use their in-house exporter Chordline. There was some mixup in options or instructions and somehow the gun didn't get to Chordline for packing until 20 October. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/C28Jil8.png) I'm in no hurry but would like to see the gun before Christmas. Just got a set of bicycle rims from England that were ordered on the 12th of this month, today. Not a gun, obviously, but, shipping of standard consumer stuff goes on while the government is closed, and prevented from distribution of mostly welfare of various forms, it would seem. The seller built a 10% price cut into the sale, covering the tariff nicely, but, shipping was spendy, nonetheless, doable.
Tough to find what I was looking for, here. I tried.

If the democrats knew their shutdown was preventing people from from receiving purchased guns they’d never open the government back up

Who was in office when that record was set before? Donald Trump, of course. What a coincidence. He has a habit of being in an office when Americans die. Not surprising.
