Hello:
Is the Remington 1900 worth investing much money in in the way of purchase price and restoration costs. What would a fair price for one, top shape to poor shape?
Thanks,
Franchi

That's a hard one to answer due to condition of gun, you might try going to auctionarms or gunbroker.com and do some comparison shopping. Ken

The Rem M1900 is a cheaper version of the Model 1894. I think it wiser to look for and invest in the 1894 models instead. Even though Remington made a lot of them, they are not easy to come by, especially the upgrade models. See Charles Semmer's book on the Remington shotguns. Jim Haynes

The Remington 1900 is a nice gun (mechanically the same as the 1894), but I wouldn't invest a lot of money in restoration. Pricing a hypothetical gun is difficult but a ballpack would be $300 poor -$1,200 top. Condition is king and 95% plus original condition guns will command a premium. Of course, it is all a moment in time and you need a buyer and seller. If only these guns were made by Winchester, they would be worth a fortune!

I currently own a Model 1894 Damascus that is undergoing 100% restoration. I'll probably have about $1,800 in it, when finished. Probably not my wisest investment, but I look forward to shooting it. No Regrets!

I've a Remington 1894AE, and would like to find a higher grade along with a 1900 like Lewis Drakes.
