Sad news this Sunday. For reloaders, and 16ga fans in particular, the news appears credible that DownRange is out of business.

Thanks, Kevin, for a lot of good years and a lot of good wads - particularly the DR16.

Which one? More than one shop has that name.

Best,
Ted

Kevin Lewis. Hastings NE.

The website says, “ The New Home of Windjammer Wads. Welcome, Windjammer Wads Customers!”.

I guess time will tell what that will mean for the whole family of DownRange wads.

I spoke with Kevin at Downrange wads last week. As of 12/31/2025 they are out of business. Hopefully someone will pick up their molds and get Windjammers going again.

I always thought windjammer was a claybuster wad. No?
The cb-410012b is my main wad. I hope it’s not out of production!!!!

I never could understand how DR seemed to struggle so much. There always seemed to be a high demand for their products, especially that DR16. I have a few bags of them, but I tend to use the Italian wads more often in 16 gauge.
