,,,,It's not how right I think I am. It's how right I am. You'll want to write that down. If Steve likes it, I’m writing it down. Every time I visit, can always tell the confidence of a WI or CO for that matter, lefty. You might be out shoveling some snow👍 Swing and a miss, sweet cheeks! I'll bet a dollar you can't even figure out what you got wrong. Back in the lake with you! You'll swallow the bait again soon. Please try again...

Dave does good work on this board.
I know some complain that he should vanquish this guy or that guy, or cut some off more often. Ultimately if you do not like it, you can ignore, or leave. Though I think leaving is a loss. If you choose to joust, Dave has made it possiblewith some limits.
It is a good board despite the issues, or the styles of argument, i cannot say I have seen anyone converted in their views. No matter how well put, passionate, or informed the discussion. I used to plead for better manners, but I realize it was foolish to hope for that.
All in all there is both great information and some quality thought on this board. I will continue to donate as I do on 16ga.com and the upland journal board

Dave's role here is a largely thankless one and I for one am quite grateful for him (I don't mind paying for the privilege to participate here).
FWIW: I just made my annual contribution over on the 16-gauge site but I'm hearing now that I might have just thrown my money away. The fellow who reportedly keeps the site going has been AWOL for an extended period of time now, which is sad. I know that Mike Lawson (Skeettx here) had played a significant role in keeping things running smoothly there.
With his recent passing, I wondered how that might affect things.
Oh well...

Haven’t been able to log in to 16gauge.com for months. My IPad warns me the certificate is invalid, and that is that.

Makes you wonder what will happen to the historical knowledge compiled on this site. It's a wake-up call.

On a lot of vintage Remington internal correspondence you will see "Don't say it, write it" underneath the Remington letterhead.

Makes you wonder what will happen to the historical knowledge compiled on this site. It's a wake-up call. The old Lefever Forum was attacked by some bad foreign actors several years ago. They hacked it and locked out the Site Administrators. It was impossible to log-in, Post, register new members, etc. The only thing regular members could read was profile pages of hundreds of fictitious new members, and vulgar descriptions of their interests. After a short while, I found a way to get back in to almost all of the sub-forums. I emailed the old Admins and showed them how to get back in, but unfortunately after trying for several days, I wasn't able to restore complete control to them. The original site is gone now. Before everything disappeared forever, they were apparently able to copy and save almost all of the old Threads and Posts, and I understand that information is still available in Archives to members of the new Forum. Considering who is running the new Forum, I'm quite sorry I helped. Lesson learned.

You are obviously not alone in wishing that a handful of members didnt make it necessary to 'deal with' their middle school nonsense in order to enjoy the great content here.
I think we all agree that the content is worth it -- or else we wouldn't be here. But it's a fact that some of the most knowledgeable members are either absent or silent because they got sick of dealing with the crap. that's a shame in my opinion.
It seems obvious to me that the forum would be better without the vitriolic junk, political or otherwise.
