"Well over valued" is the understatement of the year.

The very selfsame gun was sold in an US auction a few year ago for 1035 US-$.
Less than 1/4 of the present insolent asking price, and even that would be high by current German standards, in the given condition.

Good Eye there fuhrmann. Too, I did not recognize the firearms merchant, but that doesn't mean much.

Good grief.
Joseph Michaeli und Sohn was a reputable firearms dealer; his son Theodor took over after 1945, as soon as Adolf-Hitler-Platz 28 was reverted to Hauptplatz 28.
Suhl and Zella-Mehlis maintained good connections to Carinthia. Why? Our Slowenian friend might know.

Hi Raimey,
The LR primers from Ginex are 1.5 thou oversize so are very tight in normal boxer openings which might help with the reworked berdans.

Old Austrian 6,5x70R rounds from Georg Roth might be be convertible this way, because they had a single central Berdan flashhole within the anvil. Not the usual two Berdan holes to either side of the anvil.
German 6,5x70R rounds will have the usual and well-known Berdan configuration. A drilled third hole for Boxer primers, already never unproblematic as such, here is an especially problematic idea for this round, because all the extant old cases are now over 60 years old, and the "Blue Bible" - Bavarian Brit knows it - warns especially against observed age hardening of the brass and lots of cracked cases (already 35 years ago !), even while reloaded with normal Berdan primers. A crack in the case bottom is not a good idea in any combined weapon, and may easily damage the lockwork.

I will keep an eye on it there 7,35 Carcano. I will de-cap them & see what it looks like.

Good to hear from you Bavarian Brit. I was working just yesterday on AL Hwy #157 where we met many moons ago.

Yeah, 7,35 Carcano, I know Franz Neuber heavily sourced the German mechanics in Suhl/Zella - Mehlis but Buechsenmacher Joseph Michael had escaped my radar.
