Eightbore, I think there were several Arrizabalaga gunmakers. Some were relatives. The Weiland '"Spanish Best" book gives a bit of info on the surname. I was told that Garate, the head of Pedro Arrizabalaga at the time, viewed the Luis Arrizabalaga made in 1937 , and said it was as good as guns could be made in that period. He told my friend that the gun, an exact copy of a H and H Royal including engraving style , was made for the Duke of Danista. My friend asked if the Duke was a good shot, and Garate said that the Duke was the worst shot in Spain.
