pacomb,
You should be able to find a used one, luckily, they haven't changed much over the years. The lug under the barrels will tell you which way to mount the latch.
Mike
Not that easy Mike, not that easy.... I have been searching for a long time and nothing.
Any way, the idea of getting one is that I have a dream project, a take down rifle. I wanted to use a Spanish made Santa Barbara Mauser 98 to make one, enhance it, personalize it, and make it with a take down system. I have seen one that was made time ago, the idea was good, but the execution was poorly made. The locking system is the key factor. That rifle had only a spring loaded ball, and when fired, you could feel the fore end wood moving.... After researching , i noticed most Rigby takedown rifles had the deeley style lever latch, if fitted correctly with a sliding latch to the action, that should make a solid unit. Of course we are always talking about small/medium calibers.

In any case, the Deeley Style latch for me if the preferred method, so nice and beautiful compared with the modern push button in the fore end front. I was wondering, is it possible to convert a normal modern push button to a Deeley style latch??? Making a new wood fore end.... I have a lovely Spanish made express, that maybe one day I change the stock. If I have a Deeley style latch kept for the moment, it could be the moment to install it if it is possible
