Is there a chance that she may want to pursue organized clay target shooting? If so you may want to supply a gun that is comfortable to shoot and simple to manage. At this point having fun is job one.

If not learned early either a manual transmission or a double trigger is normally and incorrectly considered difficult or a handicap. I didn't learn to shoot a DT until my mid 30s. It was easy. I didn't learn to drive a manual transmission until my mid-20s - also easy. I taught my wife how to do it in a half hour in her mid-20s.

I think a nice 12 gauge O/U Citori or a Beretta would fit her just fine. Wait a while to try the double triggers. Don't try to push too much on her too soon. But that is wonderful that she is doing so well. Good luck. I strongly disagree. The more she shoots a single trigger the harder it will be to get her to accept double triggers. This is your window of opportunity. I didn't learn to shoot a DT until my mid 30s. It was easy. Congratulations, but that is absolutely not the norm.

I taught my 20 year old wife how to drive a stick in my 69 428 Cobra Jet Torino 😳! We survived the whiplash. The real test was loading/unloading boats on steep ramps in my 3/4 ton 4x4 stick Suburban!…….. she got pretty good at it!
