Dove season finally got here this weekend, Shot like total crap saturday using my 2 28ga guns, in high winds only hit 7 birds out of about 27.. sunday used my sporting clays gun and went 7 of 9..felt much better. Hope all you southern hunters had great hunts....and Roll Tide!

And hunt we have: from 12 p.m. yesterday till dark today. A lovely time was had by all. Now to the cleaning and prep. for cooking in a few days, maybe in a pot with some blue wing Teal.

The 1st phase of the Georgia season ended yesterday. One of my sons and I shot a waterhole with a few birds drifting in all afternoon. We both ended the season about 6:00pm with limits, mine with a Sterlingworth Fox...Geo

Don't be so hard on yourself Matey. Most Europeans consider anyting >4 WILD birds/10 cartridges exceptional shooting. Lets face it, nobody should expect you to approach this ratio with tiny but testing 28bore!

I love my tiny, testing 28's.. do great with quail..those light guns just did not seem to "come around" for me on dove!!
