George L, I am just curious, are you somehow involved with the upcoming auction? Perhaps the owner of the place is your friend and you are merely giving him a plug, would that be right?
Maybe it's just because it's in your backyard, and you want everyone to feel the warmth and welcome of The South, is that it? It would seem that friend Diggory would be able to plug the sale himself, if he is involved. Would you please explain just what your connection is to the sale?

Chief: Right on both counts. The owner is a friend of mine for quite a number of years & yes I was giving him a plug but also trying to give you guys a "heads-up" on what portends to be a really good event. Yes, it is in my backyard (about 15 miles away)which means I don't have to drive halfwaytohellandback to see some good guns. Folks of good will are always welcome by me to experience the Deep South where the matter of "The Late Unpleasantness" all began. My involvement is to help in describing and appraising some of the items being offered and hopefully being the successful bidder on a few.

If you check out Diggory's web site you will see the auction described. I did not post anything until I saw it on his site. Did not want to steal his thunder so to speak.
