I've always thought of duck hunting as an earthy sport, not at all tweedy mind you, but very rich in tradition, steeped in history. Are the special built duck guns found in the clubs, and the farmer grade double duty guns for the backwater loafers?

Joe that is a very nice DH 10 bore, what is the frame size and barrel length. What shells do you use?

Joe, I have similar question to Craig's...where do you get 2 7/8" low pressure non-tox shells for a damascus barrel 10ga.? I note that RST only lists lead shot loads. What do you do when you need non-tox low pressure for waterfowl?

These folks are hardcore fowlers, so I'm sure they can answer your question. PS. There is samll operation in UK making custom wildfowling loads including: 4ga, 8ga,.....I read about it several years ago, but can't remember guys name. He also makes guns and me thinks his first name is Alain?

Craig and Sharpsrifle, I brew up my own reloads, using Federal Hulls and Remington SP10 wads for a base. I have a small supply of bismuth that oughta last me another couple of years. After that....who knows. Surely someone here in the states will see an opportunity and try to supply us with homegrown bismuth.
Craig, the DH is a #3 frame with 30" barrels. Built 1910.
