I am figuring I need to reduce my DAC and DAH about 1/8" on an Ugartechea. Two different 'smiths have given me a price of $150 and $175 for inletting to do this. Since I have never had this type of work done, are these reasonable prices (I am in Montana). Thanks for any remarks you may have regarding this. Cheers.

I'd think bending the stock would make more sense. The cost might be similar but the result would be less likely to be visible, IMO.

Those prices are considered fair market by most sporting clays shooters. Since you're already in Montana, let Bob James of Montana Long Guns in Polson do the re-heading work. You should easily be able to get your 1/8" adjustment and nothing should be visible to indicate any work was ever done after the stock left the factory.
If you have any question regarding the exact dimensions you need, it's worth a visit with Bob James and a P.O.I. fitting session. Bob has built some great stocks for world class competition Sporting & FITASC shooters and instructors like Will Fennell from South Carolina.

I also vote for Montana Long Guns.
I have a cynergy that had to get 1/4 cast and 3/8 drop. They (MLG) reheaded the stock and it fits very well, now. If you look closely one can notice the job done. They had to accraglass the inletting, too.
I would opt for bending the stock especially if it's a sidelock, but 1/8 is not much and a reheading job shouldn't be too obvious. MLG can also bend the stock for you.

Thanks for the replies. One of the quotes was actually from MLG in Polson (actually the cheaper one). They came recommended, I just wanted to get a feel for costs. Thanks for note on bending, I'll talk with the shop there and see what they think. The snow is getting deep enough up here, it might start to cut into my hunting time.
