Over on gunbroker is about the nicest S grade Baker 12 gauge I've seen (I've seen about three) going at the ungodly sneeze of $360. You have 22 hours or so left to make it your own. I've always wanted a graded Baker, but, the powers that be are rushing Minnesota headlong into the brave new world that will be non toxic shot only, and it won't fit in my safe anyway. The Baker S is a hammerblock gun with a touch of engraving. This example has nice wood, and is in nice original condition. Seller claims he doesn't know what grade it is, and has it up at no reserve. I'm just guessing nobody here has had a good look-if you were hoping to get it cheap, sorry, but the cowboy shootists have had their way with too many good doubles for me to sit back and watch it happen again. Go git 'em. Let me know if you save this gun from the hacksaw. Best, Ted

I notice in the pictures, there's no forend. Might want to check on that before bidding.

Ted, Been watching the time tick away before bidding, thought the rest of the world wouldn't notice. Did email about the forearm without a response as of yet. Randy

Ted, The Baker S grade went for $556.00. Cabelas has an S grade they are trying to sell for $2,999. The S grade on Gunbroker is all there, including the forend. The only thing missing is the ebony tip. I like Bakers and appreciate gentleman like yourself giving us tips. Joe Smolka

I too had questions emailed to the seller. I was unable to be home when he finally responded and missed the auction. I wonder if there had been a different outcome to his sale if the questions were answered in a timely manner.

I've been told Cabelas will dicker on price-maybe someone should bring a print of this auction along and see how far they get. I understand not wanting the cowboy action guys to get it, but, 3 large for a Baker S?
Come on. Worlds Outmost Forfitter.
I hope one of "US" got the Baker S on gunbroker.com. Fess up, if you did, and be happy you got a great deal. Best, Ted

I have had a long day; had to put down my 17 year old dog that I have had since 1st grade. That gave me a good little laugh. Thanks Ted

Storm, so very sorry. My girl is getting older too. Nothing worse than saying goodbye for the final time to good friend. Steve

Ted, It is not going under the blade. It is going in my safe with the other Bakers. I just have a thing for them. Tom
