Hi all, looking for anyone out there who can help me find the date of manufracture for the following gun:
Charles Boswell
16ga BLE
SN: 17510
This gun is number "1" of a matched set. Proofed at Birmingham.
Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
All the best!!

gjw, Reading the caption was an eye opener. I was initially going to suggest you bring flowers, choclate and buy dinner if it was your first date. Good luck with the 16ga. Best, Ron

It was sold in 1919. Should be close to the production date since not much was made during the war years or it could have been on hold over from before the war.

Try contacting Chris Batha he now owns the Boswell name, he may have some records. Unless Adolf burned them on one of his overnight trips in the 1940's.
