I have a friend that wants to buy a John Dickson side by side. He heard that there is a John Dickson shooting event in Tennessee. Does anyone know how to get information about this event?

About 5 years ago at the Orvis, Millwood,NY Vintagers event there was a gentleman from Tennessee that had a very large collection of Dicksons displayed in his booth. Sorry, I don't recall his name; however, if there is an upcoming Dickson event in Tennessee, I suspect this gentleman is participating.

I believe that Tom Bryant monitors this BBS. He also shoots a vintage round action Dickson. Tom if you know about this event, please chime in.

Yes, I'm here. I don't know that he does this every year, but the gentleman who has these is Steve Davis. He wrote the Dickson article in Shooting Sportsman (I think the May/June 2003 issue). At the end of the article he gave his phone number. You might also check with John Allen at GameFair. John knows Steve quite well.

Thanks for the replies. I called my friend tonight and gave him Mr. Davis name. It was ironic that he had called a gunsmith friend of ours and gotten Mr. Davis number from him.
