I'd like to get a slip-on pad for my Parker Repro. I need to add about 1/2" to the LOP. Any suggestions for a quality pad that looks good and fits right?

The leather ones from GALCO look nice to me.

The Galco ones are well made, and if you do not mind velcro they are fine. I use Kick-Killer slip on leather pads. They are all leather also and give you the option of being lace-on. Since I like the looks of the lace-on better than velcro I buy them. They can be removed in about three minutes if need be, add 1/2" to pull, and soak up recoil very well. Very reasonably priced at Cabela's.

Thanks Stan. I remember seeing lace-up pads in the past but didn't know where to find them. I also prefer the look to velcro. Thanks again for the tip.

One thing to be aware of is that slip on pads, if left in place any length of time, oft cause a distinct change in the stock's finish where the slip-on pad has covered the buttstock, some would seem to either leach finish or taint it too, so that you can end up w/a two-tone buttstock. If the finish and asthetic are important to you, you may wish to consider a Slivers or Pachmeyer decelerator [Old English type] pad or leather covered installation.

TW, I read that same type of comment on Cabela's site (one of the customer reviews). I'd think that would be a problem for the lace-up type since they'd likely be troublesome to get on and off. Looks like a key point in favor of a velcro pad that could be quickly and easily removed after each shoot.

Anyone else experience this type of issue with lace-up pads?
