Restoring a tired B Grade. Can I trouble anyone for a good engraving photo of the triggerplate/underside of frame? Engraving is of early style.

Thank you Researcher, unfortunately, the photo provided at the Fox collectors site is blurred.

I thought the picture was fine, but I lightened it up. Hopefully it will look alright for you.

Kilibru ---- if you are going to re-cut the scroll, remember that the frame & forend is cased. Sometimes the case is thin but I have run across some that was rather deep. You might want to consider having frame slow annealed. I use Classic Guns Inc. in Crete, Ill. for this service as well as color case work. They are fast and inexpensive. Ken

Thank you for the advice Ken. I live right close to Crete and will have Classic Guns do the annealing. My past experiences have been very good with them. I wish I could say I'm worthy, but someone else will have to do the scratching.

If I'm successful, here is another picture of the bottom of an early style Fox 12 gauge, my BE SN 1593x: Bill Jolliff

Kilibru ------ I have an old retired gentleman who can do the work for you very inexpensively who lives close by. He has been an apprentist for a few years and is well up to re-cutting your action. Let me know if interested. Ken
