My 12 gauge Frederick Williams SXS had a small pin (not a screw) at the center of the large diameter cross pin through the action bar at the knuckle. This pin is missing from both sides of the action and it is possible to see clear through the aperture. The gun functions and shoots flawlessly, nevertheless. I would like to replace this pin even if its presence is only cosmetic. Any ideas on a parts source?

This sounds to me like something that wouldn't be too difficult to make and fit yourself. I've used drill bits in the past as a source of high grade pin material.

It'll almost without doubt have to be made. Lots of good smiths around could tackle that. Try our own member SKB aka Steve Bertram. steven_bertram@hotmail.com

Would part of inexpensive jewelers screwdriver or hole punch blade shaft work?
