Is it possible to gat a "factory" letter on a W C Scott double that was made in 1898?

No, the records are all gone from that period, based on my inquiry a few years back about an 1897 Scott. Apparently lost during the bombing raids during WW II.

There was a guy in Oregon that supplied information but I don't know if he is still around. I have a letter that he did for a hammer gun made in 1885.

When I get home on friday I will get the ingformation for you.

In the basck of the W & C Scott Gunmakers book by Crawford & Whatley there is is this address:

It says they will provide you with info about patent dates, models, dates of manufacture, prices, variations, etc.
