I looked at the chart wrong, looks like 1884.

Not realy a Parker man and don't remember if they made the above gun at the same time as the under lifter hammergun.

If the stock is truly junk, you have a problem. You will have to sell it to someone who can build his own stock. A lowball stock will cost about what the gun will be worth with the new stock on it. Nice Grade 2 hammer gun, though. Maybe Donny Gennes at Show Me Gunstocks will stock it for a reasonable price. He has built some nice Parker hammer gun stocks.

The Parker Serialization book lists your gun as a Grade 2 manufactured in 1884 with 30" barrels in 10 Gauge (not 12ga.). The condition of the stock means you either need to find a replacement, consider the gun strictly a wall hanger, or sell it as a parts gun, assuming the locks and barrels are OK. A collector of Parker hammer guns would probably be happy to pay a few hundred dollars to have the parts.

Never considered that it was a 10, just figured it was fairly heavy 'ol 12 but it sure is a 10ga now that I look closer, weighs 9-6. Not real sure if the owner even wants to sell it but if anyone wants to make a offer I will present it and if something comes of it would make sure Dave got taken care of.
