I'm rather happy that other posters chose to broadcast what they felt were deficiencies in some of the first RBLs delivered. Missing engraving in particular. If they hadn't I'm not sure CSMC would have chosen to re-include it.

I wish we'd all list our real names on these boards. Then maybe we'd see less personal assaults and more topic-specific banter.
Anyone that hasn't listed their names after a personal attack/insult should be considered a troll and ignored by all............

I use my real name, does that mean I can speak my mind?

By the way for $3,200 you can order a Gold Label from the Ruger Studio, It will have phenomenal wood, and if you don't like it you just keep sending it back until you are satisfied with the wood. They will, of course, not do that with their regular Gold Labels but that is one reason you pay more to get one from the studio.

Good post, Dick. Cogent, well-argued, based on personal experience buying guns and keeping them.

Here is a pic of two very satified users of the RBL. Tony and Lou were gracious enough to loan us these two guns, and we fired hundreds of rounds through them. Many other shooters had the opportunity to do the same over the three days of the event at Northbrook last spring. The guns performed flawlessly. Tony said each gun had more than 20,000 rounds fired through them.
Barry shot as well with the single trigger gun as he does with his personal guns, and Trevallion found his choice would be the double trigger straight grip, Neither of us can recall him missing a single target.
After we finished the course, Trevallion stated "I would be delighted to have the chance to stock one of these puppies to my dimensions"
As Mr Hands admired the guns he said, " And it would make a great canvas for exhibition grade engraving."
Actually, at the $3000.00 price level it is a bargain right out of the box.

They may have performed flawlessly but they sure didn't look it. As I recall the wood finish had exploded in the heat of that tent.

I did like the unengraved ones that they had there. Wish they would sell them that way, then I might consider one.

Doug, your post is a throw back from the dark ages of this bbs - trolls indeed!
This is a good group, and there is no need for a hall monitor.

Lowell-
Yep, I agree. We do have a good group..And I agree with you that we don't want to return to what the old BBS evolved to(infested with trolls)...
What attracts me to this BBS is the diverse level of technical knowledge, the willingness to share with others, and the respectfulness of each other's opinions.
We'll start losing good people if they start to feel 'gun-shy' about getting personally blasted for just stating their opinions....-Doug

Some of us think bulletin boards and the internet are a great place to BROADCAST 'particular problems'. Deal with it!

Offsense taken!
Stick to replying about what I have Posted instead of making demeaning statements about my self or any other Poster. It's 'keyboard commandos' like you that make these Forums disintergrate. 'Keyboard commandos' feel safe in making statements they wouldn't make to a person face to face hiding behind the anominity of the Internet.

Can you spell or at least ask for help on the big words? I replied to your post - maybe in the same way you replied to Lowell's earlier post. That wasn't 'demeaning'? You can BROADCAST it, but you can't take it. That 'anominity' works for you too, doesn't it?
