HHH, while they both use a combination safety/barrel selector, it's not the same setup. The Ruger safety pivots at an angle. The Citori safety (and quite a few other similar systems) moves straight side to side to select, then straight forward to take the gun off safe. You're always working the Ruger safety (same arrangement on the Red Label) at about a 45 degree angle. I don't think it's a huge deal, especially not if you're used to a Red Label, but most other tang safeties are straight forward and back propositions.

And if you haven't heard people complain about the Citori-type safety, you might want to read a bit more--or start a separate thread on the subject. It's quite possible, if that safety isn't pushed far enough left or right, to try to push it forward unsuccessfully. (I've seen that happen to hunters in the field.) I owned a Miroku OU, same system on the safety. Someone had modified it so it no longer selected, but rather worked only on the right hand side, forward and back (bottom barrel always firing first). The gun was choked skeet/skeet anyhow so it made no difference, but I'll wager that the previous owner made the modification because he'd had the experience of trying to take it off safe when it was in the middle, nonfunctioning position.
