I am looking at a Parker Repro tomorrow with a single trigger. Is the Parker Repro considered a quality SxS for the price? I've heard that, in general, single trigger on SxS's are more problematic that Double triggers. Is that the case?

I have heard the same about the single triggers. Parts for them are few and far between. Some people buy them- some don't.

Brass, do as I said on the other board. Don't be talking yourself into problems that may never show up.

Brass, in my opinion the Parker Reproduction is a sleeper. Made to the exact specs as the Remington Parkers but with the most modern materials and to the finest tolerances. They are escalating in value at a pretty fair rate and are probably the best buy for an "out-of-production" side by side shotgun available today. Of the three Repros I have, I have had my single trigger twenty gauge for about seven years now and have fired thousands of rounds without a single problem with the trigger mechanism. Dean

I have a Parker Repro .28 gauge single trigger with 4000+ rounds of all flavors. No problems yet! Go for it, it is my favorite of all times!

I've owned several of them and only kept the ones with single triggers. I cut my fingers a lot with the double triggers. My twenty gauge ST has had thousands of rounds through it with out any problems. I have a friend who doesn't take very good care of his 28 ga Repro ST and he has dragged it through the mud and shot thousands more rounds than me - no problems. I own originals and repros I love them both. I think the repros are a great value.

Brass, what do you think now? You getting pretty much the same answers on the other board.

I love Repros and have several. Unlike the others though, I've had issues with SST Repros doubling. In fact, my first three Repro purchases doubled about 25% of the time. All were returned and I found a Repro with DTs. It took a little while to get used to, but now I wouldn't have it any other way! The only thing better than a Repro is a DT/SG Repro!

Don, you gotta clean those reading specs. 7 responses on the "other board", two of whom have had problems with SST's on Repros, one more that doesn't like them. And I'm one who has had problems--like the poster above me. But you've been kinda coy about your "just keep 'em clean" advice. What's your own experience? Have you ever had problems with an SST Repro?
