Larry, On the topic of "Steel Shot Specials": What about those guns not marked "SS-xxxxxxx" yet are 28" and 3" chambered? Bores on these are .735 not .740 (like the SS guns} and are choked Ic/M. What kind of a beast are these??

Can't help you with those, Bob. The 3 12's I've owned have all been a bit overbored, closer to .735 than .730. I'm guessing that's standard on the 12's, because mine have all been 2 3/4".

Bob, 28" barrel 3" chambered guns marked IC & M but not serial numbered SS may have been meant to be two barrel sets, but the barrels are certainly meant to be used for Steel Shot Specials. It would have been nice if all of the IC & M guns had been 28" barrels with 3" chambers. The 26" 12 gauges are a hard sell.

I had heard that they parts were in a flood in Japan and weren't bought by someone here in the states until a year or two later......... Glad that someone mentioned that........they did have a lot of complaints about the case coloring rubbing off pretty easily. I had forgotten about that.
