Hard to tell from 2000 miles away, but it doesn't look as if anyone as much as ran a brass brush through these barrels yet. Considering that the rust on the exterior looks very superficial, I'll bet the interior won't be as bad as first glance would suggest. Those growths in the left chamber look like outgrowths of rust and crud rather than deep pits. What's lurking under them is my concern. Are they scabs of moist oxidation caused by corrosive priming or black powder, or are they mostly dust and dead spiders stuck on the surface? More pics after multiple passes of the brass brush with steel wool and solvent will be more telling.
