Had a good couple of days wandering through the Dulles Gun Show near Washington yesterday and today. Always good to see Murph and several of my friends who are into this dealer thing. At Roger Bain's table I found a maginificant 10 Bore hammer gun with drop dead wood and beautifully sculpted fences. It was marked Golcher of Philadelphia, PA, but the crossed pistols beneath the barrels bespoke a builder more in keeping with the quality of the gun. In October, I'll take her with me to Canada for ducks and geese. Other than Charles Daly and now Golcher, I wonder for whom else Lindner exported his wonderful creations.
