My friend and fellow pigeon shooter Joe Taylor's new Golcher ten hammer gun is, in fact, a wonderful example of Lindner's work. I wanted it as a casemate for my wonderful ten gauge Golcher pigeon gun, but it is in good hands. As I recall, the serial numbers of the two guns were not in close proximity. By the way, the serial numbers of both guns seem to be more in line with Daly Lindners than with the limited Golcher production from 116 Girard Street. My possibly unique 16 gauge mini frame Golcher-Lindner hammer gun, identical in grade to both Joe's and my ten gauge guns, is a project gun since it has a perforation from one barrel to the other, probably caused by corrosion in the bore rather than an internal burst. The gun is well preserved otherwise. If the gun ever gets sleeved, it will be in Damascus. I know this is far fetched, but the gun is too precious to have sleeves in fluid steel. Bill Murphy
