SJones - I'll have to take kind exception based on empircal evidence.
I have three Parker Repros, all straight gripped, one with double triggers and a pair with singles. LOPs are within an eighth of an inch. With the DT gun the hand is substantially rearward due to the distance from the front trigger to the back end of the trigger guard. The double gun puts the right thumb right under the nose, whereas the single trigger guns allow the hand to be moved most of an inch farther forward are comfortable and easy to shoot,
Length of pull is primarily about getting the hand out of one's face. A hard number length-of-pull does not necesarily guarantee this. Both grip and trigger configuration need to be rolled into the equation.
