I took my Charles Daly/Linder/Lefever 10 ga sidecocker out for pheasants in Illinois with very good success. I do break the gun to take the gun off cock.

Mine has no firing pins. I have been putting off fixing it. Who can help me with this problem?

Firing pins for Lefever hammerless guns were once available at Gun Parts Corp. (formerly Numrich). I don't know if the size or style was different in the sidecockers. The firing pins in the later hammerless guns that I have seen were something that any machinist could easily reproduce on a lathe with oil hardening drill rod, and then harden and temper. No problem if you can get the correct dimensions. Guys like Keith Kearcher or Buck Hamlin who repair and restore Lefevers on a daily basis could probably do this in their sleep. Putting off the job can lead to what happened with a DS Lefever that I am working on. The gun was disassembled for a broken hammer spring. The gunsmith became sick and died. His son sold off the contents of his shop and the parts for this gun were scattered to the four winds. I bought the receiver and forend at one gun show, and the matching serial no. buttstock at another gunshow. Somewhere out there are the barrels. What are my chances of reuniting all of the pieces and parts after 15 years? I'd hate to see your sidecocker suffer the same fate. Good luck.
A true sign of mental illness is any gun owner who would vote for an Anti-Gunner like Joe Biden.

Of these Lindner Lefever sidecockers, which one is the gun that Russ sold just before he passed away? Best, John

Well I have been trying to get that one for about 7 years now. Never under estimate my tenacity. Drew.

I found my wonderful E Grade 32" ten gauge at a gun show with a mid four figure price tag. I was deflated to be dealing with a seller who obviously knew the value of these rare guns. After a day at the show, we settled on $300.00 as a fair price. Oddly, it seems from the serial number list that the big long barrelled tens are not too common.

Gosh!!?? You got one for $300. I must have been taken advantage of! Although mine does have 32" barrels and is a 10 bore. Drew.
