Markethunter, the McDougall loads were all tested via the proof house and found to be suitable in guns proofed for that loading.
Chris, the three Remington Industrial cases can be distinguished by the following; 1. The older type which have a grey asbestos like material in the base wad. (I tend to use this type because I have the largest quantity of them) 2. Ones with a yellow platic base wad, and 3. ones that are compression formed like the Remington RXP cases. The latter two with give higher pressures with the same powder loading than the former.
Bob, e-mailing you. Lagopus..... p.s. I would be interested in any other loads which have been tested. Remember that 8 bores have chambers from 3 1/4" to 4 1/2" Winchester cases are fine but I only use black powder in them as I have no nitro load information. Fiocchi and Federal an Canuck have all made cases.
