I had a conversation with a very reliable source today. he informed me that there will be both a 12 Ga RBL and a 16 Ga RBL in the near future (6 months to a year) I asked "12 Ga???" Why?
I figured a game gun. Who would want that. But the plan is for a heavier 12 SXS for Sporting and wildfowl.Especially for those who like to do their shootign and competition with a SxS but want something stouter than a 6 1/2 lb game gun. Supposedly will offer 32" barrels, Vent rib as option. I would speculate that it will have choke tubes and be steel shot capable.
The real good news is that there will be a 16 Ga coming. I hope they build it in the 20 Ga frame. What a sweet heart that would be. I am sure that there will be all the options as seen on previous offers.

That sounds good, Brian. But I don't know about the 16 on a 20 gauge frame. It might be a little hard kicking. A lot of 16 gauges already kick like a 12 gauge when they are on a 12/16 gauge frame.

I was at Galazan's on Monday and Lou said "he wouldn't be surprised if a limited run of 16s came out, they'd make them for a week and then be done with that gauge."
I'm going back on Thursday, so I'll make some further inquiries.

Shows how little they know about their customer base.
The 16 would outsell the 20.
A 12 ga. target gun would sell very well.

I believe a 410 RBL would be a winner! Bobby

I'd line up for a 16ga RBL in a heart beat. IMHO, 16ga barrels on a 20ga frame would be even better.
Not sure how a 16/20 RBL would compare, but I've got a 16ga Citori Feather weighing 6.25 lbs, which I dearly love for hunting.

I'd think a medium to heavy weight 12-gauge with a full range of options to outfit as a target gun or a modern day Super-Fox or Magnum-NID would be great. Maybe even a 10 1/2 pound Magnum-Ten for the Elmer wanna bes.

Saw Lou today, and he laughed when I brought up the 16g RBL and a .410. He said he has a long list of wants from people, but we'll see. Got to see the factory floor though, a whole bunch of RBL28s about to get shipped, and Tony's bright yellow Ferrari in the parking lot.

Wishful thinking I might get mine soon. About how many is "a whole bunch". are we talking 20, 50, over 100?
