Purdy Thumh Hole actions were use as a base for many Illinois makers-Donn, Fred Abbey, George Abbey, Joseph Butler and Thomas.These action were modified then finished in Illinois. This gun has no proof marks. I Have a Donn which has W F K on the action bar- There was a Walter Kisnner tha tworked for Donn(GUNSMITHS OF ILLINOIS). The actions wree not made by Simon.
