Gentleman
I know this is off topic but you are the only ones I can think to turn to. I have a Ranger 20 GA over& under with 26" barrels model 103-6- which I believe was made by Marlin. I believe it is a copy of the marlin 90 probably for some hardware store chain. I have used this gun for upland game for the past 20 years +. This year it developed a problem the bottom barrel shot some times and some times it won't shoot when it doesn't shoot it barley makes a mark in the primer and when it dose fire it make a nice dent in the primer. I do not store my guns without falling the hammers on a set of snap caps. I have had this problem before with some old side lock doubles and after changing the main spring it has solved that problem. My problem is I can't remember how to get the main springs out I have tried every think I can think of short of cutting the action in half. Is there a trick I have forgotten to get this whole unit out.
