"Gun up" refers to a pre-mounted gun - mounted prior to calling for the target. "Low gun" refers to a mounted after calling for the target/after the target is visible.

Push the gun outward justa little and roll your shoulder slightly to form a pocket. Rise of gun and shoulder should meet and lock at just the right time to pull the trigger.

Well, yes, I can teach them to push the gun out and bring it back in but I will not do that, it's something else they have to remember. I have been shooting International skeet for a very long time and I do not want to have to worry about the pad catching on my jacket like this one does. It's like a marshmallow. I'll try Armorall and if that does work otherwise its off to Pachmyr for their Sporting clays pad with the hard rubber pad heel, that's a good pad.

Take off whatever is on it now and replace with a Pachmayr Decelerator D752 or the SC100 pad you just mentioned. I shoot low gun on everything except trap and used the SC100 for a while but find the Standard Decelerator pad works fine(without the plastic heelpiece).
Scotch Electrical Tape looks like crap and the Slick-EEZ does, too. JMO

I will offer my solution to the problem, I have had Skeet Shooters, Trap Shooters, Box Pigeon Shooters, Sporting Clay Shooters, Guns used in the Field for Quail, Pheasant, Doves in South America. Double Rifles 'Whacking Cape Buffalo" on the African Continent. When you find the"Pad" that is right for you and you want it to "Slide" into Position...Stick a Piece of Pig-Skin on the end, smooth the edges to blend with the shape of the pad. The Pad in my photo was on a Perrazi that had 3 Interchangable Stocks, All with Leather-Faced Pads. 2 With Pistol Grips, One Straight Hand.(Its a DIY Project.)cc/dt (Photo to follow, Thanks to Drew Hause.)

I'm with Mike, I can't stand a pad that has sticky sides. I used Slick-eez until I got the pad replaced. Just put the stuff on the sides of the pad, not the butt end. Seems to work O.K.

My problem is that I hit my knee with my bowling ball on my backswing. I'm not interested in perfecting my backswing, so can somebody recommend a good kneepad I can wear?
