I have heard rumors that Smith and Wesson is going to come out with a 12 bore version of the Elite Gold SXS. Has anyone seen the 20 bore yet? I have checked the local gun stores and the cupboards are bare. If the 20 bore can't be had, maybe the whole project is just another RBL fiasco?

I just saw an article in American Rifleman. But what does that really mean though?

I've seen one 20b locally and it's a nice gun. Reminds me of the RBL. It went unsold for over a year, and may still be there.

Saw one at a semi-local dealer. Serious barrel finishing flaws near the muzzle. Should have never left the factory.

I've seen half a dozen or more 20g guns in stores and on the range. Handled a couple in the stores. Seem well fit and finished for the bucks. Wood looked like grade C fencepost with dark stain, satin finish, casecolored, nice bright blue, about 6 1/2 lbs

I took one to Argentina with my RBL 20 in March- about 2800 rounds each- S & W is lighter- I shot about the same with one as the other- no malfunctions either way.

I've had a chance to put quite a few rounds through a couple of them, although short of 2800! First one was ST, VERY heavy trigger pull (which Bruce Buck also noted in his review of a different one). Then, in May, got to shoot one with DT. Nice triggers, decent gun. Not sure whether it will sell in the $2K+ range, but I didn't see any real problems with it.
