Most interested in knowing every dealer that doesn't quite have the personal ethics to know (or tell) the difference between truth and fiction.

I've had similar experiences, including a recent one with a top name dealer (down south) who I know is well liked and respected ... but with whom I won't be doing business again.

This sad story started with the purchase of a Beretta ASE 90 sporting, represented as "like new" and even included a "NEW" never used second trigger group just as it was shipped from the factory. On inspection, the gun's O/A condition turned out to be a fairy tale as it showed signs of having been heavily used for years as a competition gun ... even the "never used" trigger group showed indentations on the hammers from thousands of strikes against the firing pins. Another obvious and more serious problem was that the side ribs were broken loose starting under the forearm and continuing all the way back to the breach. These are not things any one (much less a dealer) would miss on inspection! Bottom line, the gun was not even close to being as advertised on the web site or as discussed over the phone and certainly not worth the money paid. After many calls and suffering the many excuses offered to cover up the misrepresentation, this dealer finally took the gun back, but then took his own sweet time (many months in fact) to refund the money (less shipping of course). To add further insult to injury, the same gun re-appeared on his web site with NO MENTION of the problems or revision to the description of condition...guess he figured another sucker would soon appear...and all this was before the refund check was sent!
If you'll share your dealer's name with me, I'll respond in kind. Email to: XXroger@nacz.com Just drop the XX from the address. Thanks

It's really just fascinating how the seller has cropped these pictures of a Specialty Grade so precisely that neither side of the stock behind the locks are visible. I mean, c'mon! Every LC shopper want's to see behind the locks to see if the stock is cracked! I'm sure it's coincidence that his pics have omitted this area when this topic has surfaced. He should save all the questions and get the pics showing what we really want to see

Chuck, You know darn well what the pics would show. I bet he was trying to figure out how to crop the top of the left side of the stock where it joins the gun. That gap probably came well after the gun left the factory. Regards, RCC

We've discussed this before but it's worth repeating - every dealer is an expert when it comes to buying a gun. He can tell you exactly why your gun is a piece of crap. Every dealer is just a humble servant of the Lord when it comes to selling a gun - he can't possibly be expected to know, or catch, every last detail.

You had a bad experience but you were luckier than I was getting the full purchase price back. I bought an O/U on Auction Arms sold as an Antonio Zoli that was a poorer quality Angelo Zoli and it arrived poorly packed with a badly cracked stock. I took photos of the gun and packaging and called the guy. He told me to send it back for a refund. When he got the gun he accused me of stealing his good stock and putting on a cracked stock to send back to him. Never mind that he sent a different gun than I ordered. After much hassle I got back 80% of what I paid. Auction Arms was little help. I only got anything back because many, many people from this board and the old SSMBB called him and told him to do the right thing.

I would be interested in knowing who the seller is if someone could email me. Thanks.
