I don't see any difference between an auto or a pump as far as safety goes. I have seen just as many or more guys fool with a pump gun because of a jam as I have an auto. If a gun is pointed in a safe direction, no one will be hurt. One thing I have noticed in skeet that we should all be aware of is on the last post. Shooters should be told that you should not shoot the gun past the center post for safety purposes. I don't know how you guys do it at your range, but at mine they are warned about swinging the gun over their head on the last post and shooting it in the opposite direction. Wow!! That could be dangerous. Be careful guys. We don't need anyone on here getting shot. And you are just as responsible to warn someone for being negligent as you are to act safely yourselves.
