I first met John Allen at a gunshow in Birmingham, Al about 25 years ago. He had a lot of nice model 21's and several Derrydale editions of Nash Buckingham's books. He is a sharp gun trader but I have always found him to be honest. I used him to sell a Steel Shot special Parker Repo on consignment a few years ago. I used the proceeds to buy a 410 L.C. Smith. I have been to his shop in Nashville a time or two and have consulted him on a number of occasions by phone. He has always been generous and gracious with his time and knowledge. I am sorry things did not work out. I would still trust him, I am sorry that many here now would not.
