Panspermia is required if you reject the creationism postulate.
The smallest known genome of an organism (a bacteria actually) that can exist on it's own (non-virus) has over 500 base pairs on it's DNA strand. It's DNA molecule contains about 500,000 individual atoms arranged in precise fashion so it can function as it does. It has dozens of genes. There are dozens of proteins in each cell, all serving a very specific function. Remember, this is minimal 'life'.
To claim that this occurred randomly is the height of absurdity. It came from someplace other than Earth.
I'm not a creationist in the usual sense of the word, and evolution is a well proven mechanism for enhancement of living creatures.... it's the very beginning part that has me stumped.
The most simple forms of life are way too complex to be accidental. They had to come from somewhere else...

Today pregnancy of teen daugher is a non-issue. I feel bad for that poor kid as she is going to have to grow up waaay toooo fast, but she proly didn't know about condoms much less how to use one. Honorable McOldie is goin' on to 73 and if somethig were to happen to him if he won......., OH NO! I like and respect McOldie for his service to the people of this country but sadly his time has passed. It's not all bad there are: Cuban cigars, fishing, grandkids?,..... Had he picked someone like Tom Ridge he could easily have my vote, but the best I can do now is to sit this one out. It's too bad because the 4th is my day off.

SGJ, your modesty concerning your conclusion doesn't hurt your argument in the least. Those Nasca "runways"; maybe something or somewho far outside which cannot be denied. However, if Sarah Palin helps em run the intergalactic bypass thru my back yard, I ain't gonna be happy.

I think the issue of a pregnant daughter IS an issue. Obama might say let's lay off of this but you can't tell the voters that. I think it could be a BIG issue with many people. We will have to wait and see.

Agreed Jack... that's why our separation church/state is so critical. The good government has no business telling me what to believe since the 'truth' is largely a matter of conjecture for right now.
We need elected officials who respect constitutional limitations, and we also need citizens and voters who are a little less zealous about what they know to be the truth and wish to impose on others.
Same old choices... which end of the constitution do you want to see eroded, and what freedoms do you wish to surrender?

Teenage chidren start to become their own person and may make choices contrary to their upbringing. Unfortunately these choices can have life changing consequences. Making no choice is a choice and comes with consequences. Let's hope that won't be life changing for you.

Obama is correct. They should leave this girl alone. With this much pressure at 17 it could easily lead to tragic consequences.

I find it amazing that when an American is viewed as perfect living in the "ivory tower", the democrats charge that they are "out of touch" with mainstream Americans. Yet, when someone like Governor Palin faces and discusses real life issues that American families face everyday, now she is somehow "unqualified to lead".
I really think she is going to "ace em" tomorrow night, and not just the Republicans but the whole country.

Huh? Poor people don't like rich people. It's especially true when one is born into wealth like what we have in the white house now. It's basic human nature. PS. Unfortunately some folks are born a little more equal then others.
