GLM,
I am new here, but I have fondness for Simson firearms and have done a great deal of research on Simson & Co. I would be happy to make available to you a detailed history on Simson (1840's through today) which is the culmination of two years of research. Unfortunatly, it is much too lengthy to post here, so drop me a private message with your email address and I will send a copy to you (or to anyone else who is interested).

I have some published history of Simson which is from the GGCA, it would be interesting to add your research and see how they might mesh. kinglarr@knology.net

I can only add that the guns marked "BSW" for Berlin Suhler Waffen(fabrik) were mainly made at the original Simpson factory in Suhl after the Nazi takeover but mainly before the Jewish workers were fired and then "deported." I've seen .22 bolt repeaters including paramilitary trainers, SxS BLNE's and Merkel-looking SxS SLEs with that (by now infamous) "brand name."
(SimpsonShooter PLEASE DO correct me if that's wrong.)
