Brilliant choice. Lifetime NRA member, hunts, fishes, flies a guide plane, a REAL conservative, easy on the eyes, Governor of a very important (think oil) State. I say as long as no S-K-E-L-E-T-O-N-S come out of the closet - she'll win the whole thing for him.
Better choice on McCain's V.P. than Obama. Old Barrack yells "CHANGE, CHANGE, CHANGE" - then picks the biggest Washington D.C. insider you could find. Some things don't change!
Leave it to The Maverick to gamble on the ultimate outsider. His gambles have paid off for him in the past and my hunch is that he may have just made history with this one.

Well to me the choices were limited, didn't care for Obama's beliefs from the begining. Hillary I believe would have been just as bad, AND a lot of women would have gone her way. Her beliefs stunck also. McCain is 72 yrs. old today, Happy Birthday, getting up there for a President, his beliefs are a little better. His choices before were ok. Now that he has picked Sarah Palin my choice just became easier. She is a life member of the NRA, owns guns and hunts, fishes and is pro life. In hearing her speak, seems to come from the heart.
That's my take on it, and my opinion. We need someone in there that is on our small side and also to help this country because it definitely needs it. We are number 26th in the world now for wealth and places to live. Russia has 74 billionairs, 42 are under 40 years old. (I believe I got that right.)

I have suspected it would be a woman for quite some time. The only real surprise to me is it's not Condi Rice.I just finished listening to Sarah Palin speak and she appears to have a lot on the ball. Unlike Biden, who brings virtually nothing to the democrat ticket, I think she really adds to the republican one. BTW: Not all woman are pro-choice liberals. Perhaps GregSY would explain to the rest of us why this is a "terrible mistake"? Jim

You forgot, Ironman5, her husband is also a member of the USW and works in the oilfields. Five children, a conservative, a Christian. She might just be able to get him elected.

Yeah maybe, but it's still the best one around, wouldn't you agree? BTW, are you paying Miller to mess with me? LOL

Amen Jimmy. So far she seems great. Not enough to make me forget about McCain-Feingold or some of his other Constitution hating legislation, but at least I'll feel better about pulling the lever come election day.

jOe, you aren't going to be like Robert Redford and one of the Baldwins and leave the country if McCain/Palin wins are you? I used to like Redford, but since he opened his mouth and made such a supid statement, I think he is a jerk now. Baldwin too and any other actor that shouldn't be viewing their opinions on who they like or dislike.
