I haven't seen too much info on "Knickerbocker" sxs's, but I would like to know what stores sold them or were they made for a specific merchant. Here's a pair of them that have seen a lot of service, and I can just imagine the hunts they have been on and the game they have brought to the table. I thought I would kind of give them a little reward for their years of service, and a proper new home. When was the last time you seen 2 of these in one place...probably never. I attend a lot of gun shows, and I have never seen another Knickerbocker. Well enjoy? LMAO 12ga 30", F/M 20ga 28", IC/M What do YOU think...any info on these appreciated. thanks binko

Their American Arms Co. No. 6 Knickerbocker was H&D Folsom Arms Co's entry-level double in their Catalogue No. 18. Just after WW-I it had a list price of $30 when their Baker Batavia Leader had a list price of $48. By the next H&D Folsom Arms Co. catalogue I have, No. 23, the The American Gun Co. had been replace by Crescent Fire Arms Co. and the gun was the No. 6 "Peerless" (The Old "Knickerbocker" Improved) and had a list price of $24.50. In the same cataqlogue the Batavia Leader was down to $35. In addition to H&D Folsoms own guns, this catalogue included lots of American guns and had the NID Model Ithaca, so must be at least 1926.

Will, I think they would work and work fine, it's just that I got too many ahead of them. Hopefully, someday, I will get to take them out...too many guns, so little time!
