Amen to that "Goombah" the BBGV is just a basic "road map"- I'm not a 16 ga. man- but I have friends in the South who will pay a premium to get a fine 16 (M12 included, thank you) for quail and dove. The market will usually support a certain price level, and with certain "cachet" guns there seems to be a "tier" or leveling out factor- I hear now that later Win Model 70's (before the final folding up) are going to bring more, in light of the "New New-Old M70" now being mfg. in the USA (NC??) One reason why I look at 100 guns from gun shows, dealers and my preferred "shopping cart"- the private party- for each one I buy.
If you are not teaching advanced marketing and economics at Harvard, perhaps you should be-you'd get my nod for your "on spot" analysis of the ever-changing gun market for the "good old guns"- like the man once said- "You find something really good, well made, that you like, buy two-sure as shootin' they'll stop making it, and try to foist off something cheaper- WRA 1964--RWTF!!
