However this would probably be a breath of fresh air when compared to the "economics" taught by the left-wing liberals that tend to infest most universities these days.
If I owned a site like Gunbroker the first thing I would do is eliminate reserve auctions and start all sales at $1.00 ensuring that everything sells. Barrett Jackson did this for their car auctions and IMO it really increased the spirited bidding since the buyers know that when the hammer falls the vehicle will have a new owner.
