I've been working down my checklist for the upcoming openner for pheasant a quail.
Dog in shape? Training tuneup? Working your dog helps a lot to sharpen them up, IMO. The dog and I go on a bicycle ride twice most days, with a stop in the park for training as well. She's lost about 10% weight and looks fantastic.
Are you in shape? (Round is not a shape) Don't have a heartattack out there. Exercise regularly. I still look kinda round.
The truck is getting some work, with 200+K, it has been a progressive job. Flush and all new hoses, new waterpump, new idlers on the belts. Belts were new earlier this year. Front steering all rebuilt this year. U-joints and rear brakes next weekend. Then fluids, and I should be set for the season.
My new alum truckbed drawers from Ainley for guns, ammo and other things are here and I need to bolt them down and make some fillers for the corners out of plywood.
