C.C., Your earlier post(which by the way appears to have evaporated from this thread)mentioned a Purdey pigeon gun with 3 sets of barrels,one of which was a long chambered 20 bore.This peeked my interest as I have seen/handled/owned/heard of,several heavy,long barrelled,long chambered,20 bores which appear to be built/stocked as "pigeon guns".I have also heard the term "Lancashire sparrow guns"which appear to be 20 bore live bird guns.Are you familiar with this term/guns???.I am guessing that sparrows/starlings may have been used in this variation of pigeon shooting in the North??
